Get Through The Holiday Season Without Going Into Debt
Tis the season for spending! If you have trouble getting through the holiday season without debt you are not alone. This year let’s shop smarter so we can have a great start to the new year.
The holiday season can be very expensive. Not only do you have to get gifts for all of your friends and family but you also have to attend more events and cover your home in decorations. All of this spending in such a short amount of time is bound to push some people into debt.
While you can’t opt out of gift giving, you can shop smarter to avoid putting yourself into debt come January.
Stick To Your List
One of the easiest ways to go off track while shopping for gifts is to divert from your list. This year make a list and stick to it! You may see some great deals while shopping that you want to grab for yourself or someone else you have already crossed off. Make a note of it and the price and if you really want it go back for it later. You will find that you probably won’t go back for it because you just got caught up in the savings!
Use Cash
Give yourself a hard spending limit by only using cash and leaving your cards at home or in the car. If you physically limit yourself you will have to stay on track and not pick up other things you do not need.
Go through the sale listings and budget yourself before you leave the house so you have around the correct amount of cash with only a little extra. It is a lot easier to manage your spending when you are seeing the physical cash leave your wallet.
Faça compras por aí
There are thousands of sales going on throughout the holiday season so if you are looking for a particular item sold at a bunch or retailers shop around for the best price! Also keep in mind that many stores will price-match lower prices so you can make sure you are getting the best price.
